Are Zaleska pieces waterproof?
Water will not damage any of our pieces. Water will age gold vermeil more quickly, but rubbing and contact with oils/cleansers will contribute more to this process than getting a little fresh water on your piece.
Sterling silver and gold-filled pieces are completely fine to get wet, with no worry of colour-change or damage. However, if the water contains sulphur compounds, this can tarnish silver more quickly. But when sterling silver pieces tarnish, you can always polish them with a silver polishing cloth.
How do I determine my ring size?
Here is a list of methods for determining ring size:
1) Print out our sizing guide and use it to check the size of a ring you already own.
2) Contact us for a complimentary ring sizing tool. We will ship this to you within Canada at no charge. If you are outside of Canada, please inquire for shipping rates (we can also slip one in your next order!).
3) Visit a local jewelry store and check your size with the staff. If you are in Greater Vancouver, you can make an appointment to stop by our home studio.
How do I determine my chain length?
Start by taking a look at the graphics below! While these only cover a small slice of the spectrum of different body types, they should give you a pretty good idea of which length(s) will work for you. If you receive your necklace and your chain length isn't perfect, we'd be happy to adjust it for you at no additional charge. We just ask that you cover the shipping fees or arrange a time to come by our home studio.
